Empowerment Enterprise 2 (EE2) proudly introduces our new performance group: The LGBTQ+ "Community Drumline." EE2 welcomes people of color from the LGBTQ+ community to join our HBCU-modeled drumline.

 

Studies have shown that people of color that are LGBTQ+ often find it challenging to identify spaces where they can be authentic, creative, and celebrated. This drumline presents a solution to this challenge. While the program is designed for persons of color who identify as LGBTQ+ and will be most beneficial to those who identify as such, it is open to all who are interested and are willing to commit to performance in an inclusive brave space environment.

 

Members of the drumline will learn music performances from some of the most talented instructors in the District and perform in venues and parades throughout the nation. All skill levels are welcome to participate.

 

As EE2 grows and enhances its impact in the Washington, DC area, The Community Drumline will create a space for confidence building, leadership development, and community, all while providing a music program that is not only fun and cutting edge but empowering all who participate.
